Summer 1992. Three years after the fall of the Berlin Wall and six months before the split of Czechoslovakia, young homicide detective Richard Krauz is desperate to distinguish himself from the police of the former communist regime. His new case begins when a corpse with a nail driven through its skull is unearthed during groundskeeping at an old cemetery.
